Flavoured Frappé & MIlkshake Recipe
Frappés are ever popular as an indulgent treat. Without the toppings, they aren’t actually much unhealthier than an iced coffee, as the thick texture in the drink is created by blending ice cubes with the ingredients. The difference between a frappé and a milkshake is the presence of ice – milkshakes have almost identical ingredients.
Flavoured Frappé Recipe:
1 scoop MONIN Frappé powder
30ml MONIN syrup of choice
150ml milk of choice
scoop of ice
Combine all ingredients in a blending jug, blend for around 30 seconds, pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and your choice of topping (optional)
For a flavoured milkshake, combine the same ingredients in a blender WITHOUT the ice.
Flavoured Espresso Martini Recipe
Changing the sugar syrup (or simple syrup) in a recipe is a great way to put your own twist on a classic cocktail. Coffee-forward flavours work especially well in an Espresso Martini – think of a Pumpkin Spice version at Halloween or a Gingerbread version at Christmas.
Recipe:
20ml MONIN syrup of choice (see above for suggestions)
50ml vodka
Double espresso
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake REALLY hard – it’s the secret to an amazing foam! Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with your choice of topping – or keep it classic with a dusting of chocolate, few coffee beans, or sprinkle of cinnamon for a festive twist.
